As manager of the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development's Greater Baltimore regional office, Bryan Coster helps companies develop strategic business plans and access public and private resources to stay and grow in Maryland. Along with a team of business development representatives, Mr. Coster meets with companies throughout the Greater Baltimore area - encompassing Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard and northern Montgomery counties - to advise them on such business issues as training and recruiting employees, accessing state and local funding resources, and leasing or buying new space. He works closely with the Carroll County Economic Development Department and has assisted numerous Carroll County companies including General Dynamics, Carroll County Foods, Intellitech, and JoS. A. Bank.
Mr. Coster will discuss workforce training programs offered through the Department of Business and Economic Development. The Partnership for Workforce Quality Program provides matching skill upgrade training grants and support services to small and mid-sized manufacturing and technology companies. The Maryland Industrial Training Program provides training assistance to companies that are locating or expanding in Maryland.
