Techie of the Year: Bob Dorr

Bob Dorr

Bob joined the Tech Council in January of 2007 after volunteering for a CompuKids Work Day. Since then, Bob has become an integral part of the CompuKids program and the Tech Council in general. Bob and his wife Paulette volunteered at the Third Annual Golf Tournament and Westminster Fallfest. Bob is a fantastic photographer and has taken many of the Tech Council photos used on the website, our new brochures and the Technically Speaking Dinner program.

Lighthouse Information Systems

Ken Harris

Lighthouse has been a member of the Tech Council since May 2006. VP Ken Harris has been an active member since day one, currently serving on the Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) and will be a presenter at the Data Management Seminar scheduled for January 2008. Previously, Lighthouse's Steve Williams helped design the Tech Council website and presently Fran Schinzel serves as our Website Committee Chairperson, designed all the TAC logos and also designed the cover of the Technically Speaking Dinner program. Techie of the Year Nominees

Bobby Keller

Bobby has been a Tech Council member for over two years and in that time has grown the CompuKids program from a mere handful of computer donations to over 300 computers which have been donated to Carroll County school children and families. Bobby also teaches Carroll Community College's A+ Certification course, hosts our LAN Gaming Event and volunteers his time at other Tech Council community and fundraising events.

Mike "The Phone Guy" Shelah

Mike has been a Tech Council member since May of 2006. Mike volunteers for almost all Tech Council events including the annual golf tournament, the CTC booth at Fallfest and the Microsoft Across America event. Mike also has served on the Ambassador Committee for most of 2007. His passion for the Tech Council is evident in his participation and organization of the first Tech Council cookout this year and his dedication to attracting new members and connecting with existing members.

Tech Company of the Year Nominees

InfoPathways LLC

InfoPathways joined the Tech Council in September 2005 right before the Tech Council moved into the new Non Profit Center. InfoPathways' Doug Heck and Thom Bethune along with other CTC members connected the buildings' tenants to the internet saving each tenant thousands of dollars each year. Both Doug and Thom also serve on the Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) and will be presenters at the Data Management Seminar in January of 2008. Click here to learn more about InfoPathways.

Teltek Systems

Teltek joined the Tech Council in January 2005 and since then Owner/CEO Chris Nicoli has served on both the Tech Council's "Ask the Expert" panel and as one of the CTC Advisors. Teltek Systems also helped with the Golf Tournament and participated in the Microsoft Across America event at Carroll Community College. Teltek Systems also hosted the first Tech Council Cookout in September of this year. Click here to learn more about Teltek Systems.
