Tracy indicated that all committees are open for new members.
- Ambassador

Mike Shelah welcomed the new representative Krystal Dean from Riden-Bringhurst, guest Dave Hanyok, and new member Kathleen Dalgleish. Mike is starting to plan Summer Picnic and welcomes others to join the committee.
- Business Roundtable

Ron briefed the group on the roundtable, which is a members-only group that meets regularly on the 2nd and 4th Friday mornings at 8 am in Eldersburg at Martins. The group brainstorms about business challenges and shares business leads and opportunities. Contact Jerry Tabeling or Scott Adelman for more information.

Bobby Keller announced the next CompuKids work day is on May 9th. The next Donation Day is May 16th at 10 am. Bobby said we secured additional storage to manage the inventory. Program always needs modems and speaker donations. Contact Bobby or Tracy to arrange to help.

New committee Chair, Rich Waganer said the primary goal is to maintain a consistent style, message and look. Every member is encouraged to be an ambassador. The committee will develop boiler plate flyers; a new slogan and will interface with all of the committees.

TAC Committee needs a new Chairman. Future seminar ideas include social networking, access control methods, etc.

Fran asked for volunteers for photographers for the golf event. Please send technology and company news and events to Fran to be posted. And don’t forget to advertise your business and services on LOCATE.

Save the Date - May 14, 2009 8:00 Registration; 8:30 am start at The Links at Challedon in Mt. Airy. Sponsors and golfers are needed.
- Masquerade Ball

Mardi Gras-style Masquerade Ball that was held on January 31, 2009 at Martins was a feature in the April/May Carroll Magazine. Next year’s event will be held on Saturday, January 30th, 2010.
- Technically Speaking Dinner

This event needs a new Chairperson. Date set for November 14th, tentatively at the Best Western Conference Center.

Tracy needs help with volunteers for Saturday April 11th. A seminar on Internet Safety and cell phone abuse will be presented by Thom Bethune.

Carroll County Times articles - Tracy encouraged members who wanted to write articles to contact her. Future articles will also be solicited from speakers; articles should be 450-500 words and be on a topic of general interest to the public.

Judy Stem announced two upcoming events: DBM Career Fairs in April and May and the National Woman to Woman event at Raphael’s May 2nd. See Judy for details.

Westminster Fall Fest gala – CTC sponsored bar and had a table.
Car show on April 19th in downtown Westminster. See Tom for details.
Next Meeting
No member meeting on May 14th. Please join us at the CTC golf tournament and barbeque at The Links at Challedon that day. The June 11th member meeting will feature Paul Vorster from George Mason University speaking about HIV Research.
