Jeannine opened the meeting and attendees introduced themselves.
- Elections

Robert Cage, Chair of CTC Elections made election process announcements including there is a 1 person per company voting rule.
Candidates for BOD were introduced and elections were conducted. Ron thanked committee for their work on the CTC nominations and elections. Results of elections were announced.

Committee Reports
- Ambassador
- Mike welcomed new member Carole Lee Putman from Carroll Hospital Center.
- CompuKids
- Bob Keller announced the Workday on Nov. 16th and on Nov. 17th CompuKids Donation Day, twelve families are currently signed up to receive computers. A partnership with the Shop with Cops is in development for the holidays. By year end we will have distributed nearly 350 computers.
- Golf
- The 2008 outing will be held on May 15th at The Links at Challedon. Sponsorship packages are now available.
- Education
- Denise announced the CTC Professional Development program has been approved to begin February 2008. Four courses will be offered once a month at no cost to CTC members February through May and will include: VISTA, MS OneNote, QuickBooks Pro and Business Applications and Adobe Photoshop and Applications in Marketing.
- Technology Advisory Committee
- The date for Council of Governments' (COG) Data Management seminar is January 16, 2008. The goal is to have 20-30 attendees from municipalities. The first seminar will be on data management presented by Thom Bethune, Ken Harris, Doug Heck, Brian Holsonbake, and Jeff Selby. Invitations were mailed last month and we will follow up with invited guests. The initial seminar will be followed by seminars on communications, and disaster recovery planning.

- 2007 Technically Speaking Dinner and Fundraiser

Technically Speaking Committee Chairman Richard Lord provided information about the upcoming annual dinner and fundraising event at Best Western. Sponsor packages are: Producer $1,500 (receive 10 tickets), Director $1,000 (receive 4 tickets) and Rising Star $500 (receive 2 tickets). Sponsorship packages will include dinner tickets and pre/post event recognition. Three tables are left. Sponsorships and tickets are available on the CTC website. Dress is Black tie optional. Plans for next year are also underway if any members want to join the committee.
Jeannine again reminded everyone that two special awards will be given out at the dinner - Techie of the Year and Tech Company of the Year.
- Holiday Gathering
- Mark your calendars for the annual holiday gathering on December 20th at the President's Dining Room at McDaniel College from 5-8 pm. Info will be also on website and you can RSVP to Jeannine.
- Jeannine distributed fliers and discussed the upcoming MD Data Protection Statute seminar.
- Taneytown History Museum "Holiday of Trees" and the CTC Tree
- Jeannine bought a tree for CTC to decorate with a technology theme. Members may donate technology-related items to use in decorating the tree by Nov. 17th.

Member Announcements
Rich Lord briefed everyone on the MD tax issues for computer services that is being discussed at the MD Special Legislative session.
Next Meeting
There is no monthly meeting in December!
Instead there is the Holiday Gathering
on Thursday, December 20th from 5-8 at
McDaniel College's President's Dining Room
