- Josh made presentations from Access Carroll to Barb Schmidt, Dave Shaffer and Scott Adelman for their work helping place computers in the facility.
Speaker – Norm Lewis
A Carroll County resident and local weatherman from channel 2 in Baltimore. After giving us a look at his background and how he came to be a meteorologist, Norm discussed topics including global warming, the ozone hole, atmosphere condition, oxyen and toxic gases, climatology, acid rain, robots being used in weather analyzing changes, storms such as hurricanes, tornadoes and Tsunami, and changing mountain ranges. He told us doing weather is like being married; you only learn what you do wrong not what you do right. His accuracy is approximately 93 1/2%.

- CompuKids
- Several requests have come in as well as good comments. Three units this quarter. Help is needed. There is a possibility of partnering with the Phoenix project.
- Golf Event
- 68 golfers registered
- Events / Programs
- Ask The Expert will be a series of meetings held September thru December at Carroll Community College. Each day will have a different topic directed to businesses.
- Government Relations
- Members will be participating in a Research Project with the County government. Recommendations will be made on tech costs and infrastructure, the Warfield Complex, etc.
- TV Show
- The next show will air in June with the topic Digital Camera Know How. Work is being done with the Career and Technology center to use students/interns for projects.
- Website
- The Virtual Vendor project is underway. A list of Carroll area technical Experts is being worked on.
- Advisors
- A column will be appearing weekly in the Times featuring the Advisors.
