Dave Shaffer Elected to Partner
McLean, Koehler, Sparks and Hammond is pleased to announce the election of David A. Shaffer, MCSE to Partner. David is President and Founder of Tier One Technology Partners, a division of MKS&H, and has been with the firm for thirteen years. A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Professional, he assists his clients in effectively using technology as a tool for growth and profitability.
Prior to launching Tier One Technology Partners, David was Chief Technology Officer for MKS&H, where he managed the internal technology department of the firm. In this capacity, he provided strategic planning and infrastructure design as well as managed application support.
David is a past board member of the ITA, and is a member of the AICPA Information Technology Membership Section. He recently accepted an appointment to the board of the Carroll County Technology Council (CTC) and is the past chairperson of the CTC's CompuKids program which places recycled computers in the homes of disadvantaged children. In 2006, he was also appointed to the Carroll County Economic Development Commission. Recent speaking engagements have included a variety of security topics for small business and the benefits of outsourcing technology through a proactive managed services model.
In addition to his certifications as an MCSE and MCP, he is GIAC Security Essentials Certified. In 1997 he was selected for the MKS&H Leadership Training Program - a two-year intensive course of study designed to further develop the leadership skills of those committed to the vision and growth of the firm. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania.
